Apollo 11 landed on the moon in 1969 to the delight of America and everyone involved with the project. This system was a safety net imposed by the government to regulate money and therefor employment, credit etc. Regulations limited the high risk spending and investing that larger banks did before, which subsequently led to credit drops. The prevention of risk in the financial system was also a priority. This included harboring money and credit to their full potential. The main reason for its creation was to maintain stability in the banking system.
